Coupons: gotta love the savings! :Target Edition

Omg beauty fashionistas I have an exciting little story to share. In my story the main characters are a bunch of coupons. Yes, you read correctly. Coupons! I want to say that I wasn't  much of a coupon lover er...til now. My shopping bestie and I took a trip to Target this Monday and my bestie as smart as she is had a bunch of newspaper coupon inserts in her car. We did some clipping and headed into Target. First of all Target has awesome sales, this time around they were offering a $10 Target gift card when you purchased 3 shampoo/conditioners from Pantene. Needless to say my bestie said she had b1g1 free coupons for the same product. Sooo I put 6 bottles of Pantene in my basket, paid $25 with tax for them and received 2 $10 gift cards. With those gift cards I bought pads, a Revlon Colorstay Lipstick, Revlon's 24 hour foundation, A CoverGirl mascara, 3 emergency aid band aid kits, 3 cans of cat food, and two toothbrushes. (I had a coupon for almost everything I purchased. Needless to say I was a happy camper :) can't wait for the next sale so I can use more coupons! Lol

Introducing Michelle Sotelo of Michelle Sotelo Designs

A few days ago I promised an insider look into the mind of Michelle Sotelo a Fashion Designer who promises to bring a lot to the table and even more to those Runways.
Michelle Sotelo was born on May 27th, 1987 in Riverside California. Although born in the U.S she was brought up by her Grandparents in Jalisco, Mexico where she later left to come back to her hometown in California. Like many of us Michelle moved around alot. This caused her to not only embrace her culture but other cultures as well. In this interview we get a sneak peak at both her brand and the designer herself.

When did you know you wanted to be a fashion designer?
*Well, since I was a little girl. I remember drawing and making crazy outfits for my dolls. Eventually,my love for design lead me to decide on a career in Fashion. I knew that was exactly what I wanted to do.

What would you say is your favorite part of the fashion design process?
* It never gets boring. Everyday you see something new, or something inspiring. You get inspiration from everywhere and anything. Not one dull moment when you're a fashion designer.

What do you love the most of this career?
*Being able to capture and transalate my vision on to a garment. From the combination and texture of the fabrics to the shape and colors, I love to know I brought my vision to life, it was I who created that beautiful garment, that beautiful silhouette. That excites me and I love excitement!

Can you describe Michelle Sotelo Designs for those who don't know the brand yet?
* Michelle Sotelo Designs is a unique brand with a fresh, elegant focus on the woman today as well as the woman of tomorrow. Our brand embraces timeless classic designs keeping them classy enough that they're wore beautifully by any woman.

In the fashion industry designers have different goals. What is Michelle Sotelo Designs' goal?
*Our goal is to become internationally known for our luxurious yet completely wearable designs.

I wish the best of luck to Michelle, may Michelle Sotelo Designs rise to the top alongside other wonderful and inspirational fashion designers.

Michelle Sotelo: Fresh new Fashion Designer on the Rise

I love fashion. Period. End of sentence. So what better way to show it on my blog than by interviewing someone who shares the same passion? I managed to have an interview granted by a beautful hard working woman named Michelle Sotelo. Michelle inspires me. Not only because she's working hard to get where she wants to be but because she has yet to give up on her dream: to make Michelle Sotelo Designs an international luxury brand. I'm 100% positive that with hard work and dedication Michelle will get there...I mean look at her she's already selling her designs , has a website AND has had her clothing feature in KEEL Magazine and Vogue. This girl is going places. If you want to get to know more about Michelle and her beautiful designs visit her website. I will be back soon with an interview! Good night!

Fergie for Wet N Wild eyeshadow primer quick review

Hey makeup fiends! How is everyone's day in paradise going? On my side of the world its still super hot...nasty humid makes- u -want- to- be -in- the- shower-all-day -kinda hot. Reason why today,I decided I needed extra backup. Yep. You read that right. As you know I have super oily skin and well ,when the weather is like todays ,my makeup just disappears ,as does my eyeshadow! :-( which is the reason why I have to give props to Fergies eyeshadow primer. I loved it! My first time trying it and I am absolutely down for purchasing it again! Eyeshadow stayed put all day until I wiped it off with a makeup removing wipey. Even then I had to wipe a little harder. Awesome collaboration Fergie and WNW. Way to go! Overall I gotta say this product is Totally worth your money. Which brand carries your favorite primer and why???

NYX at Target!

Hey everyone! Omg how is that weather treating everyone??? Crazy Cali weather right?? Its super hot yet its pouring in parts of the I.E. hopefully no earthquakes! Yikes! Enough of the scary weather- I just got home from a visit to Target where I found an awesome NYX Cosmetics display! Yay! If you're a NYX fan like myself you will be ecstatic to know the display is full on at my Target in the San Bernardino area (Sterling & Highland) however I did notice the Milani display is no longer available. :( sorry if you, like me, are also a Milani fan. On the other hand CVS and Walgreens carry Milani ....anyway back to NYX. This brand is awesome! Prices range from $4.99 to $12.99 but totally worth it! My favorite item would have to be the eyeshadows. The pigmentation is awesome and with the added primer (which is also awesome by itself) it will last all day even on oily skin like mine. Below are a few pictures I snagged of the display. Enjoy!

A d.i.y Summer tip for your hair.

Ok so summer is here for sure...( if you can't feel that blazing sun hitting your skin and making you a million shades darker then we have a problem) many of us like to hit the pool. The only problem with that? Swimming pool hair. Yep your hair gets totally screwed with when you enter any pool. The chemicals in the pool and your beautiful locks do not like each other. No worries though I have a remedy to help out with this issue.

The Swimming Pool Hair Remedy
You will need:
2 tablespoons baking soda
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon mild shampoo
1 plastic shower cap
1 plastic bowl

Instructions:
In a little bowl blend together ALL ingredients until well-blended. Massage on to wet hair and scalp. Don't forget your ends! Cover hair with shower cap for 30 minutes. Then Rinse and shampoo as usual.

You can thank me later! ;-)

Five awesome ways to incorporate Olive Oil in your beauty routine.

Hey ladies! How are we all fairing on this beautiful Sunday (funday)? Today I want to focus on Olive oil and its awesome connection to our beauty routine. Most of us hear olive oil and automatically think its used for just cooking. Fortunately for us its not! Its actually a very useful beauty product believe it or not! If you don't believe me give it a go. Here are five ways to incorporate Olive oil in your everyday beauty routine.
1. It's a natural moisturizer. Use it on those super ashy parts of your skin. Example; your elbows!
2.De-tangler! Did you run out of conditioner?? Olive oil to the rescue! Use a dime size amount on your ends and brush! Ta da! Detangles like magic.
3.Scrub! Add a little bit of olive oil to some brown sugar and use as lip scrub. It'll remove dead skin and moisturize your pucker.
4.Makeup remover. Yep, just add a small amount to a cotton ball and wipe away! Remember, a little goes a long way.
5. Foot moisturizing! This is great for us who work on our feet and are in constant need of a pedi. In between pedis (can be done at night) massage olive oil all over your focusing on your heels. After a quick massage rub on some more and put on some clean dry socks. This will moisturize your feet while you sleep.

Which Olive oil should you use and where can you buy it??
Olive oil can be bought just about anywhere. Drugstores carry it as well as supermarkets. The one in the picture is my all time personal favorite. Its label says its from a company called "DeLaCruz" its 100% pure and natural olive oil it comes in a 2oz container for under $3 at any WalMart. Its a small container yes, but it is oil so a little goes a long way.

Every makeup lover's kit must haves!

Recently I traveled and while getting my stuff packed I came across quiet a dilemma.... if you know me -and if you don't you will- I have a huge collection of makeup. I mean huge! Now u know what I mean by dilemma right? So... When it came time to pack my makeup I wanted to take it all with me. Obviously I couldn't...So what should you have in your makeup kit you ask??
*Foundation with spf for those sunny days
*Powder
*Concealer
*Eyeshadow pallet (pick one that has a bit of every shade)
*Blush
*Lipstick,gloss &liner (if u use any)
*Mascara
*Eyeliner (I must have black)
*Bronzer
*Eyelash curler
*Tweezers
*Bobby pins (to keep bangs back)
*Q-tips (for easy clean up)
*Hand mirror
If that still seems like a lot to carry...pick what you can't do without on a daily basis. Hope this helps!

A Trip to the swapmeet :)

Like promised i am back!! And with something i find super interesting and totally worth sharing! Ok so how many of you have heard of flea markets? Well here in Cali we have something similar, we call them swapmeets(why? i have no idea) well yesterday i decided to join my sister and her friend on a little trip to one of these. We grabbed our jackets and boots got in the car and did the 20 min drive to the nearest one. Well as i was walking around looking at the different stands (you can pretty much find anything and everything there) we stopped at a makeup stand and what do you know?? i found some pretty cool drug store makeup brands and well being the makeup junkie that i am i had to buy something ... well alot of somethings...lol I managed to spend less than $10.00 got myself Maybelline's Stilleto Mascara, 3 Revlon Lipsticks, A Rimmel Lipstick and a L'oreal lipstick. A pretty good purchase i think. Of course if my sister hadnt almost dragged me away i wouldve spent a whole lot more! All im saying is if you happen to have a swapmeet nearby you should definetly stop by and get your hands on super cheap drug store makeup. The only thing is watchout for open packages or expired product. Good Luck makeup hunting!
p.s if you know of any great deals in your are let us know!
