A d.i.y Summer tip for your hair.

Ok so summer is here for sure...( if you can't feel that blazing sun hitting your skin and making you a million shades darker then we have a problem) many of us like to hit the pool. The only problem with that? Swimming pool hair. Yep your hair gets totally screwed with when you enter any pool. The chemicals in the pool and your beautiful locks do not like each other. No worries though I have a remedy to help out with this issue.

The Swimming Pool Hair Remedy
You will need:
2 tablespoons baking soda
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon mild shampoo
1 plastic shower cap
1 plastic bowl

Instructions:
In a little bowl blend together ALL ingredients until well-blended. Massage on to wet hair and scalp. Don't forget your ends! Cover hair with shower cap for 30 minutes. Then Rinse and shampoo as usual.

You can thank me later! ;-)

Five awesome ways to incorporate Olive Oil in your beauty routine.

Hey ladies! How are we all fairing on this beautiful Sunday (funday)? Today I want to focus on Olive oil and its awesome connection to our beauty routine. Most of us hear olive oil and automatically think its used for just cooking. Fortunately for us its not! Its actually a very useful beauty product believe it or not! If you don't believe me give it a go. Here are five ways to incorporate Olive oil in your everyday beauty routine.
1. It's a natural moisturizer. Use it on those super ashy parts of your skin. Example; your elbows!
2.De-tangler! Did you run out of conditioner?? Olive oil to the rescue! Use a dime size amount on your ends and brush! Ta da! Detangles like magic.
3.Scrub! Add a little bit of olive oil to some brown sugar and use as lip scrub. It'll remove dead skin and moisturize your pucker.
4.Makeup remover. Yep, just add a small amount to a cotton ball and wipe away! Remember, a little goes a long way.
5. Foot moisturizing! This is great for us who work on our feet and are in constant need of a pedi. In between pedis (can be done at night) massage olive oil all over your focusing on your heels. After a quick massage rub on some more and put on some clean dry socks. This will moisturize your feet while you sleep.

Which Olive oil should you use and where can you buy it??
Olive oil can be bought just about anywhere. Drugstores carry it as well as supermarkets. The one in the picture is my all time personal favorite. Its label says its from a company called "DeLaCruz" its 100% pure and natural olive oil it comes in a 2oz container for under $3 at any WalMart. Its a small container yes, but it is oil so a little goes a long way.

Every makeup lover's kit must haves!

Recently I traveled and while getting my stuff packed I came across quiet a dilemma.... if you know me -and if you don't you will- I have a huge collection of makeup. I mean huge! Now u know what I mean by dilemma right? So... When it came time to pack my makeup I wanted to take it all with me. Obviously I couldn't...So what should you have in your makeup kit you ask??
*Foundation with spf for those sunny days
*Powder
*Concealer
*Eyeshadow pallet (pick one that has a bit of every shade)
*Blush
*Lipstick,gloss &liner (if u use any)
*Mascara
*Eyeliner (I must have black)
*Bronzer
*Eyelash curler
*Tweezers
*Bobby pins (to keep bangs back)
*Q-tips (for easy clean up)
*Hand mirror
If that still seems like a lot to carry...pick what you can't do without on a daily basis. Hope this helps!
